Orange Thunderverb 200H Product Details

Using a revolutionary new technology, Oranges engineers have created a world first. A 200 watt interactive amplifier designed specifically for guitar and bass guitar! The secret? Its all in the design...

The Orange Thunderverb 200 incorporates Extended Tone Range technology, (ETR). Its combination of ground breaking tube engineering and unique output transformers, (patent pending), enable the amplifiers bass bandwidth to operate as low as 30Hz without distortion. This means that not only can the Orange Thunderverb 200 deliver the most gut wrenchingly thick guitar tone you could ever imagine, it also sounds absolutely amazing when used for bass guitar. Of course when it comes to drop tunings or 7 string guitars, other amplifiers will run home with their tails between their legs. The Orange Thunderverb 200 is the new standard for metal guitar amplifiers.

The Orange Thunderverb 200 design sheet had one thing written in bold and underlined at the top of the page... Versatility. Channel As Gain, Volume and Treble, Middle, Bass EQ controls can be manipulated to achieve an absolute myriad of tonal variations. A full spectrum of guitar tones are available from warmest, loudest clean imaginable to most extreme metal distortion your ears have ever experienced.

Similar to channel A, but unique in its own right, Channel B replaces the 3 band EQ with a simple Shape control. Rotating this control clockwise reduces mid frequencies whilst increasing both bass and treble frequencies. The dynamic nature of this control has to be tried to be believed! An incredible array of possible tones can be dialed in at the merest tweak of the knob.

If the 100 watt setting is still making your ears ring, the built in Attenuator will help keep the Orange Thunderverb 200 in check! Valve amplifiers sound amazing cranked and this output level control will allow you to achieve high output tones at a lower volume.

A tube driven, tube returned reverb circuit gives the Orange Thunderverb 200 reverb a sparkling chime that will add dimension and space to your guitar tone. It features a high quality, Accutronics 3 spring reverb tank.

Tube buffered, tube returned. Orange pioneered the effects loop back in the 1970s. So it should come as no surprise that the Orange Thunderverb 200 comes fitted with the highest quality effects loop on the market. If you have to take the signal out side of the amplifiers chassis then the Orange Thunderverb 200 design ensures that it will come back in sounding crystal clear!

Let your feet do the work with the Orange Thunderverb 200 full function footswitch capabilities. Use any latching footswitch to change channel, punch in the reverb circuit or switch the Attenuator on and off. Whether you need a solo boost, clean volume boost, or gain boost, with a combination of footswitches the possibilities are endless!

Heres a feature to take a weight off your mind! When the Orange Thunderverb 200 is running at 100 watts it uses just one pair of the output valves. If you are unlucky enough to experience a power tube failure whilst playing show, it is possible to quickly switch the amplifier to function using the other pair. Once the show is over you can then take the time to trouble shoot the problem pair, swap out the valves and have your tech re-bias the amplifier.

The Orange Thunderverb 200 is designed to work with a variety of guitar and bass speaker cabinets from 4ohm to 16ohm.
