Softube Console 1 makes it possible to take advantage of DAW-based mixing without sacrificing the convenience of analog operation. The revolutionary concept includes a plug-in host for a virtual channel strip with corresponding hardware controller. All channel functions such as EQ, compressor, expander, gate and transient designer are intuitively controlled. The Console 1 plug-in is based on the SL 4000 E, a realistic replica of the EQ and dynamics section of the legendary Solid State Logic SL 4000 E console. A totally unique hybrid between hardware and software, Console 1 gives the best of both worlds, and redefines mixing in the DAW-based studio. The renowned Swedish plug-in developer enables "analog working" on all common platforms and DAWs. The controller-based mixing process becomes much more intuitive, world-class plug-ins ensure the best results.

The perfect music mix thanks to flexible software

Softubes Console 1 can be loaded as a plug-in into individual DAW channels or all DAW channels. The heart of the plug-in is the replica of a Solid State Logic SL 4000 E channelstrip. This brand new plug-in offers authentic reproduction of the equalizer and compressor as well as emulation of the saturation of the analog model. Dynamic Shape also includes an expander/gate in combination with a transient designer. The plug-in also enables special functions such as the use of sidechains or parallel compression. For additional plug-in selection, Console 1 is compatible with all Softube equalizers and compressors. These can be integrated into the channel strip to achieve the perfect individual sound. For example, a combination of Trident A-Range 4-band equalizer and Tube-Tech CL 1B Opto Compressor is possible. Softube will release more mixer models for Console 1 in the future.

Robust hardware for analog operation

A robust hardware controller, which is connected to the computer (PC/Mac) via USB, ensures perfect control of the sound and dynamic processing. It allows 'analogue' operation of the mixer software without the user having to resort to cumbersome mouse control. From loading plug-ins to precise control, the intuitive user interface makes mixing much easier. Softube has a simple philosophy here: Each function in the plug-in has a corresponding button on the controller. LED indicators and LED rings around the controls also provide visual feedback. So even a complete mix can be created without looking at the computer monitor.
