Flexible microphone arrangement for every recording situation

The integrated stereo condenser microphones can be flexibly set up in XY or AB configuration. This enables precise, phase-stable recordings as well as wide stereo recordings. With a maximum sound pressure level of 125 dB, the recorder is also suitable for loud live situations.

Professional connections and 4-track recording

The DR-40XP has two XLR/TRS combo sockets with switchable 48V phantom power. This allows microphones or line signals to be connected directly. The 4-track function allows simultaneous recording from internal and external sources.

USB audio interface and versatile functions

The recorder can be used as a 2-in/2-out USB audio interface and is therefore perfect for recording, streaming and podcasting. Functions such as dual recording, overdub and punch-in offer additional security and creative possibilities.
