YAMAHA YCL-221 II S
This bass clarinet is the standard class because of their easy handling and great game comfort, especially suitable for students, band and music schools. The fully-formed S-bend these instruments with a normal approach are easy to play clarinet. Their sound quality is exceptional and confident even professional musicians. The case for the bass clarinet has the size and design of the Altsaxophonkoffers the YAS-275.
We use the same manufacturing techniques as our pro model YCL-621. The most carefully developed curvature of the sound track and the S-curve, we obtain a significantly better response. The entire flap system is ebanfalls worked as a professional model.
The ergonomic design, comfortable positioning and flaps of the body made of ABS plastic, which is significantly lighter than the wooden models facilitate the holding and playing the instrument. The matte finish looks forward to the pro Grenadilla model strikingly similar.
The Yamaha metallurgists have developed a newer, stronger alloy for the valve mechanism. This particular hardship for bass clarinets especially important because they have long flap linkage.
The positioning and size of the flaps register tone hole was scientifically determined to obtain the most accurate intonation and strong tone projection.
A rounded flaps connector ensures that the flaps of the upper and lower part in assembling fit together correctly. And Yamaha's unique combination of natural cork and plastic rings plugging together without great effort.
The adjustable thumb lever allows convenient positioning of the right hand. Since it is made of ABS plastic, it's a little bit flexible but extremely stable.
As the body of the YCL-221 separated into two parts, they fit into a very small and lightweight case. The case offers total protection for the instrument and is also easily stackable.
