Austrian Audio Hi-X65

Sovereign, highly precise sound

The Austrian Audio Hi-X65 is characterized by a particularly clear and clean sound. This can be measured, among other things, with the so-called Klirrfraktor (Total Harmonic Distortion - THD), which indicates the amount of unwanted distortion caused by the construction. The standard measurement range is 1kHz, and here the Hi-X65 impresses with an excellent value of less than 0.1%. In practice, however, the low frequencies are often the deciding factor. For example, the energy of the bass drum at around 60Hz is hugely important and should be reproduced without distortion. The low frequency range is the basis not only for current productions. This crucial point was fundamentally considered in the development of the Hi-X65 and implemented without compromise. In comparison with headphones of the same price range, but also with some significantly more expensive models, the Hi-X65 performs excellently with up to 3x better measurement results and thus positions itself in the absolute top field. Thanks to this almost unrivalled clean and detailed bass reproduction, important mix decisions can be made quickly and in a well-founded manner.

Durability and comfort

The large, open sound image of the Hi-X driver is unique and is complemented by the highest level of wearing comfort. The ear pads are made of soft memory foam and have been completely rethought. This has made it possible to create more space for the ears without increasing the external dimensions. The breathable construction not only provides excellent ventilation, but is also part of the acoustic design. In practice, the remarkable comfort and optimal fit allow you to work without fatigue, even during time-intensive audio projects. The headband and ear pads, i.e. all hygienic components, can be easily replaced and renewed, as can the pluggable cable. This means that precision, listening pleasure and comfort are maintained for a long time. Studio work is flexible and no longer bound to one place. This insight has been incorporated into the robust design from the very beginning. For maximum strength, all moving and supporting components are made of metal. The Hi-X65 has an extra stable folding construction, comes with a transport bag and is well equipped for daily transport.
