Jeff Loomis has left his mark on several subgenres of metal with his smooth technique at breakneck speed. His rhythmic style became a central part of the sound of Seattle-based progressive metal band Nevermore, while his solo albums shook up the technical metal scene with intricate fretboard skills and fast-paced solos. As the current guitarist for the world-renowned Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy, he continues his legacy with some of the most amazing riffs the genre has ever heard.
Jackson's collaboration with the prominent guitarist continues in the form of the brand new Pro Series Signature Jeff Loomis Kelly™ Ash.
This aggressive signature axe features a basswood body with a sandblasted ash top, finished in black with white binding for a menacing look. The full-length maple neck construction provides even more sustain and features graphite reinforcement for maximum stability in tough road use. The bound ebony fingerboard with 12"-16" compound radius is built for speed and features 24 jumbo frets and stylish pearloid sharkfin inlays. Luminlay® Side Dots help you find your way around the fretboard on even the darkest metal stages, while the truss rod adjustment wheel on the heel allows for quick and painless neck relief adjustments.
Dynamic Seymour Duncan® Jeff Loomis Signature Blackouts® humbucking pickups give this metal monolith a clear, articulate tone even under the heaviest distortion. The neck pickup delivers smooth, glassy leads, while the bridge pickup sinks its teeth into more aggressive tones and sustain while maintaining its legato.
