Description

KMA-Machines Tyler Frequency Splitter Product Details

The crossover has been an important guarantor for a balanced, differentiated sound in studio, hi-fi and event technology environments for many years, as it can be used either to assign certain components (frequencies) of the overall signal to the loudspeakers that are best able to reproduce them, or as the crossover can be used - as in the case of the KMA-Machines Tyler - to break up definable parts of the overall signal via several send/return loops and to apply different effects to each.

For example, it's possible to thicken the bass range with a rumbling fuzz - such as the KMA-Machines Fuzzly Bear - and apply an octave-up fuzz to the high frequencies, or compress them and then fatten them up with a classic distortion to provide a gloriously singing lead sound.

The KMA-Machines Tyler accepts all common sound sources at Hi-Z or line level, as it has a built-in level control to boost or cut the input signal, making it perfect for guitar, bass and of course synthesizers. It allows for sounds that would be so impossible in a long, serial chain of effects.
