MOTU 8-PRE USB Audiointerface Product Details
The 8pre audio interface offers all that is needed to transform a computer in a powerful 24-Bit, 96 kHz digital audio workstation. The 8pre includes eight digital controlled microphone/instrument preamplifiers with a straight 96kHz analog recording and playback and furthermore eight optical digital ADAT I/O channels. Extend your system through extra 8pre interfaces or other MOTU audio interfaces. With the delivered CueMix-DSP™ software one can use the 8pre as prime audio interface to mix all 16 inputs via personal computer. Eight optical digital ADAT I/O channels make the 8pre to an ideal companion for a digital mixer.
With the 8pre one gets two things at the same time: if it is not connected via USB at a PC the 8pre becomes an eight-channel analog/optical digital converter. Just connect the 8pre with a MOTU 828mk3, 896mk3, Traveler mk3 or even with a further 8pre to add your system eight qualitative microphone preamps. The sound remains 100% clean, because the connection is digital.
