Neumann U87 Ai Stereo Set

The U87 Ai from Neumann is a microphone that has long been part of the high-society standard of professional recording studios and has become indispensable. It is not without reason that the Mic has a long history and has been used by numerous artists such as the Beatles, Ray Charles, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder and Beyonce. The current "Usi" U 87 Ai is a replica, with the same same sound characteristics as the famous classic U67 and U87 A series. For decades, Neumann has enjoyed the highest recognition throughout the audio industry for its excellent quality standards.

This is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a double-diaphragm capsule, and is equipped with three interchangeable characteristics (omni/cardioid/eight). Without problems the microphone allows a sound pressure level up to 127dB without distortion, with the switch 10dB pre-attenuation. Low frequencies can also be attenuated, e.g. to avoid a proximity effect.

The U87 Ai is excellent for vocals, instruments and even orchestral recordings. The microphone has an extremely warm and clear sound. In the high frequency range the microphone radiates with brilliance due to its almost linear response. Even at close distances, it has a sharp and natural sound.
