The NUX Tape Core Deluxe is a tribute to the classic tape echo, whose warm, round sound with slight modulations and synchronization fluctuations brings that certain something across. With the Tape Core Deluxe, the Chinese effect designers have taken on a true tape delay icon: the legendary Space Echo - a multi-head tape delay from the 70s and 80s.
There are 7 programs available to simulate the typical sound head combinations of the archetype. To edit parameters that cannot be adjusted on the device, such as bass, treble, wow, flutter, reverb, a free editor software is available on the manufacturer's website. The equipment is completed by switchable bypass modes, tap tempo and a connection for an expression pedal, with which the delay time can be changed up to self-oscillation in real time.
