Peavey TransTube® Series guitar amps feature our exlcusive TransTube technology, which emulates the sound of tupe amplifiers with the convenience and reliability of solid-state design. The TransTube preamp tailors the gain level for the desired amount of drive, and the power amp responds to the preamp with the natural compression that increases with the amp's volume. The result is a line of amplifiers with widely ranging dynamics and natural "grit," just like a real tube amp.

The Peavey Rage 158 15W Guitar Amplifier features 2 channels and 2 radically different voicings -- Modern and Vintage. The Modern position maintains a warm, standard voicing while the Vintage position adds a hint of brightness to emulate some classic amp designs. Pre and post gain knobs, 3-band EQ, a headphone jack, and a tape or CD input make this hard-hitting little amp perfect for back porch jamming or solo practice.
