Absolutely fascinating

The S2 Vela Semi-Hollow is a vintage design-inspired electric guitar with great expressiveness and diverse tonal textures. The offset body shape is both elegant and angular, while the addition of a semi-hollow body with an F-hole gives the Vela even more character and resonance. The Vela's electronics consist of a PRS-designed DS-01 pickup in the treble position, which delivers a bright, chimey tone. With the Type-D single coil in the bass position, the Vela has a remarkable bite. The coil tap on the Tone knob also allows a singlecoil to be switched into the treble pickup, resulting in a balanced tone that cuts through in the mix with style. The foundation of this guitar is the PRS plate-style bridge with two saddles that regulate intonation. The bridge is reminiscent of Paul's early designs and traditional plate-style bass bridges, but it can be strung from the top for easier re-stringing. Like Paul's Guitar bridge and some Private Stock models, the PRS Plate-style bridge features brass saddles and an aluminum plate to ensure maximum tone retention.
