PWM Malevolent Synthesizer

The British company PWM, which specializes in electronic instruments, presents with the Malevolent an impressive analog synthesizer. A semi-modular monosynth with two VCOs, the Malevolent features a 2.5-octave mini keyboard, a multi-function joystick (pitch, vibrato and portamento) and no less than 38 jack patch points. In addition to its traditional modular features, it has a built-in USB-MIDI-CV converter, which means you can trigger and control it from your DAW, converting MIDI messages to standard gate and 1V/oct CV signals. There's also a six-mode arpeggiator that can be synced to either the internal clock or an external clock. This can be done either via USB, MIDI clock or an analogue pulse. Conveniently, the Malevolent can be powered via USB alone, making it a perfect partner for compact or live setups.
