Sonor – Quality Meets Responsibility in Instrument Making

For decades, the name Sonor has stood for precision, craftsmanship, and pedagogically designed musical instruments. The Primary Series is specifically tailored to the needs of educational institutions and combines durable materials with excellent sound performance. Particular attention is paid to environmental sustainability and resource-efficient manufacturing.

The Sonor Primary KSP 50 X Grand Bass Sound Module “G” is made exclusively from FSC-certified materials. The soundboard is made of high-quality Pao Rosa—a robust wood with excellent tonal qualities that is known for its long lifespan and good sound projection. The soundbox is made of sturdy birch plywood, which is also FSC-certified. This makes the instrument top-tier not only in terms of sound but also from an environmental perspective.

Technical details of the Sonor Primary KSP 50 X Grand Bass Sound Module "g"

The soundboard of the KSP 50 X is 44 mm wide and 20 mm thick—dimensions that have proven themselves time and again in practice and offer a comfortable playing experience. The surface is left in its natural state, which preserves the authentic character of the wood and gives the instrument a warm, natural appearance. Due to the elaborate tuning process and the individual characteristics of the wood, slight dimensional variations may occur—a sign of the careful individual tuning of each instrument.

Tuned to the fundamental note “G,” this sound module offers universal versatility across a wide range of musical contexts. The fundamental tuning ensures a clear, clean tone that comes into its own both when played solo and as part of an ensemble.

The birch plywood soundbox specifically amplifies the tone and produces a rich, deep sound with a long sustain. Whether for rhythmic accompaniment, harmonic foundation, or creative improvisation—the Sonor Primary KSP 50 X Grand Bass Sound Module “g” is the ideal choice for anyone looking to create a solid sonic foundation.
