Onesixone Ltd (Onesixone) has developed a solution, called SoundSwitch, which bridges the gap between industry standard DJ software and lighting systems. SoundSwitch offers DJs the ability to seamlessly integrate DMX lighting with live audio, through an easy to use software-hardware package. It is a technology that gives DJs greater creative control and enhanced performance capabilities, in multiple environments. SoundSwitch works by allowing DJs to attach lighting cues/effects to audio files so that when played through Serato DJ the customised lighting display occurs automatically, as the DJ intended. It provides the connection between the DJ, the music and the lighting system, which results in a superior overall performance. SoundSwitch is a first of its kind; currently there is no comparable offering available which has the synergies between Serato DJ and existing DMX lighting. It is a technology bundle that provides the link and, in doing so, it enables new performance dimensions to be explored within the live DJ and entertainment industries.

Key Features:

• Allows DJs to script lighting shows to audio files which cue automatically when performed in Serato DJ.
• Support for Serato DJ enabled controllers & mixers (Note: SoundSwitch does not support Serato DJ enabled interfaces)
• USB powered hardware with a DMX out to connect to the lighting array; plug and play functionality.
• Serato Beatgrids are used to accurately script lighting shows and also work with SoundSwitch Autoloops.
• Access Serato crates within SoundSwitch.
• Back-up feature called Autoloops, which are lighting sequences that sync with Serato Beatgrids. Autoloops come into play when a song is loaded in Serato DJ that doesn’t have a lighting show attached, so DJs are always covered.
• Extensive lighting fixture library which is being continually updated.
• Create lighting shows using Edit Mode and then shift into Performance Mode for the live event.

• Current support for RGB DMX light fixtures, moving heads and strobes. More complex DMX lighting fixtures will be added soon.
