The Korg EC350...When we took our first EC350 out of the box, we were all stunned by its appearance. Korg had told us how proud they were of the good looks of the EC350. And after seeing it up close, we're amazed this piano sells for UNDER $2000. The smooth, rounded corners and elegant key cover are impressive...we challenge you to find a more attractive digital piano in the same price range.
We like to say that looks aren't everything, so how does the the EC350 rate as an instrument? Very well. In fact, it's a class leader in many areas, boasting the most sounds (30) of any furniture-style digital piano in its price range, and it has the most powerful sound system (70 watts, and 4 speakers with bass reflex design). The piano sounds are strong, and the sound system adds a lot to the realism of each voice.
Think this can only be a piano? Try this. Because the sound system is of such good quality, you could connect a portable CD player into the EC350's audio inputs and use it to play music. That's quite convenient, as many of us use our digital pianos in a room that may not have an entertainment center.
Back to the piano. 3 pedals are included and are integral to the stand, the 88-note keyboard has a realistic, hammer action to simulate a piano, and you'll find conveniences only found in a digital piano such as a built-in metronome, a song recorder, transpose and tuning functions, and dual headphone jacks.
Korg recommends that two people help in the setup of the EC350. With a screw driver, and a bit of help from a friend, we expect that you'll be ready to play in 30 minutes or so. Our EC350 set up quickly with minimal fuss.
