Shure Beta 98 AMP/C Product Details
The Shure Beta 98AMP/C delivers a warm, natural sound with soft treble, even on high pressure instruments. Very small dimensions allow an extremely unobtrusive positioning on snares, toms, percussion instruments.
The preamplifier is built directly into the microphone housing, eliminating the need for additional wiring and simplifying placement compared to models with external preamps. This integrated preamplifier allows the Beta 98AMP/C to reproduce a higher sound pressure level without distortion compared to the Beta 98A and Beta 98AD/C (all models have the same capsule) and it has a larger dynamic range.
The A75M Universal Microphone Holder is included in the scope of delivery. Its quick-release mechanism allows the microphone to be mounted and removed extremely quickly. In combination with the gooseneck a flexible and safe positioning is achieved.
The basis of the Beta 98AMP/C is the Beta 98A/C. The Beta 98AD/C comes with the A98D microphone clamp for secure attachment to drums and percussion instruments. With these two models, the preamplifier is not housed in the housing, but is wired externally.
