Superstereo DN78

The new DN78 Phantom Valve is an analog DJ desktop mixer with 2 dual input channels, a mono mic channel and 2 stereo USB channels and features rotary faders and a rotary crossfader. The mixer has been designed to the highest audio standards and features a high quality valve stage that adds extra warmth and depth to the sound. The unit is designed for professional DJs, clubs and venues. It is equipped with many features to enhance the DJ's performance and sound.

Gain

A 5-way gain control and 5-point LED indicators on each input channel allow precise adjustment of input signal levels, while smooth "Blue Velvet" rotary faders ensure a perfect mix. Individual channels can be routed to either side with the rotary crossfader.

ISO frequency chart

The DN78 is also equipped with a very powerful isolator at the output, providing a boost and cut function with +8db for three carefully selected frequencies. There is also a mid-range selection control that allows further reduction of the low frequency range up to the high frequencies. These filters have a wide Q range to ensure they cover the full spectrum of sound.

Phono Stage

There are two high quality phono preamps with standard RIAA EQ to ensure faithful reproduction from a standard MM record cartridge, which can also be switched to line input levels for convenience.

USB

The DN78 Phantom Valve is equipped with a high-quality 32bit/384khz four-channel sound card for easy integration of digital media. The USB interface can be used for playback from most popular DJ software platforms on MAC and PC.

Microphone input

A high quality MIC channel with a single gain control on the rear panel provides up to 56db of gain and delivers the signal into the stereo mix.

FX Send & Return

There is also a stereo effects send and return, allowing a signal to be fed into an external effects unit before the isolator and routed behind the isolator using a stereo return. Individual levels for both are adjustable from the front panel. The effects return can also be used as an additional stereo source input for line level signals.

Headphones

A powerful headphone amplifier provides more than adequate monitor levels for all types of headphones, with a separate cue/mix crossfader to control the output mix.

Master & Booth

Finally, there's a master section with a powerful 4-way output with separate Booth and Master level controls. Both outputs feed RCA and fully balanced outputs designed to drive long cables and provide more than sufficient levels to drive almost any amplifier setup.

Level Meter

Professional stereo VU meters display master output levels, they provide a more accurate level indication than led meters. Therefore, two -20 - +6db analog VU meters have been included to provide a more accurate output level measurement with an additional clip level meter to keep the sound clean.

The knobs

Black fluted knobs Silver Center, 16mm, 27mm, 33mm are very popular as they provide accurate level control. Vintage RCA Viz Knobs have a very classic look and are very precise.

The Potentiometers

All potentiometers are made by ALPS, a Japanese company founded in 1948 and one of the most important electronics manufacturers around. The smooth feel of these potentiometers makes them a pleasure to turn and allows for precise control.
