Tech 21 Sans Amp Geddy Lee MP40 Signature Limited Edition Product Details
The Geddy Lee MP40 Limited Edition Signature SansAmp, based on the original Geddy Lee YYZ Signature SansAmp pedal, celebrates the 40th anniversary of "Moving Pictures". An album that was a milestone for RUSH, selling over 5 million copies and a major turning point in Geddy Lee's bass sound. "Moving Pictures" captivated and influenced generations of bassists and continues to do so today.
It carries custom artwork inspired by "Moving Pictures" and pays homage to Hugh Syme's iconic album cover, with a new black and red color scheme and custom artwork. The all-analog MP40 SansAmp builds on the original YYZ pedal and features a brand new selectable boost switch, which provides a 12dB presence boost for increased top-end distortion.
Features:
- analog SansAmp technology, which allows you to record directly and enhance previously recorded tracks.
- Mix knob to mix the ratio of clean high-end studio sounds (Deep) and dirty bass tube amp sounds (Drive).
- Tight knob, to add definition to notes in clean settings and sharpen distorted tones.
- Boost, which provides a 12 dB increase in presence for more distortion in the upper range
- Shape Shifter, which gives you 6 dB of shaping on top, which Geddy says is an "undefinable thing of awe"
- Drive, controls the overall gain and overdrive, similar to the output stage of a tube amplifier.
- Active 3-band EQ
- Master volume
- Powered by 9V alkaline battery (not included) or optional DC power supply, Tech 21 model #DC9 (or earlier models #DC2 or #DC4).
