Description

Neumann KH 810 G Subwoofer Product Details

The KH 810 subwoofer is equipped with a 7.1 High Definition bass Manager™, whose flexibility meets all studio requirements from mono to the current 7.1 HD formats.

With eight analog input channels, a flexible connection is guaranteed in the modern studio environment. Four switchable LFE modes guarantee compatibility with all formats and industry standards. Extensive acoustic adaptation options as well as a frequency separation with 24 dB/oct allow an optimal integration into the existing studio acoustics. The built-in 8-channel volume control in combination with the optionally available wired remote control allows a central system control independent of the source. The electronics of the KH 810 can be detached for flexible cabling adjustments. From mono to 3D, the KH 810 is designed for many systems.

The KH 810 uses the latest amplifier technology as well as extensive research and optimisation of the loudspeaker chassis used. It thus achieves a maximum of bass precision and sound neutrality. The low-resonance cabinet and the flow-optimised bass reflex channels ensure a dry and extremely low-distortion bass reproduction down to 18 Hz, even at high levels. Multi-subwoofer systems can easily be set up with the sum output of the electronics. This makes it possible to implement loudspeaker arrangements such as Plane Wave Bass Arrays TM (PWBA™), which use cylindrical wave generation to dramatically improve the lateral mode behaviour in the control room.

The KH 810 was developed by us as an extension of the extensive studio monitor range. It can be used alone or in conjunction with several subwoofers to implement large systems with very high maximum level requirements. The KH 810 is the ideal low-frequency extension for music, broadcasting and post-production, such as tracking, mixing and mastering. It can be positioned close to the wall or in the wall through the bass reflex ports on the front, and can be freely combined with all Neumann monitors in multi-channel systems.

Features:

  • Low-frequency extension with a lower cut-off frequency of 18 Hz
  • Increase of the sound pressure level (max. SPL) by up to 8 dB
